AIR & STYLE. Bergisel Stadium, the birthplace of the Air & Style is the place to be on February 5th 2011 when the world`s most legendary snowboard contest is held in its 18th winter season. The Billabong Air & Style is a 6 star stadium straight jump event of the Swatch TTR World Snowboard Tour.
The world’s best riders will compete in a head-to-head competition in order to write another chapter of snowboarding history in front of 14.000 fans. Besides the outstanding sportive level international top music acts will perform in between the knock-out rounds.

Building of the ramp in the Bergisel stadium has started
While the temperature dropped below zero the construction of the ramp for the Billabong Air & Style has begun. 280 tons of steel and wood are necessary to build the massive ramp that will allow the 16 world’s best riders to do 1260’s, double corks and spectacular moves to amaze the crowd on February 5th 2011. Compared to the last year the landing grew 2 meters and the riders are able to show their skills on the oversized Burn Energy Drink Can in the end
section.
After the ramp is build, it needs snow. The Stubaier glacier provides more then 700 cubic meters of snow to guarantee a smooth flow of the Swatch 6-Star TTR contest. Up to the first practice jumps on February 2nd about 200 people work onsite to realise the project. VIP, media and the judge compound have to be build as well next to the
infrastructure for the TV-live broadcasting with the 8 cameras. Additionally, 28 tons of equipment are necessary for the perfect sound and lightshow on stage.
