Aleksander Zniszczol celebrates first victory

SKI JUMPING, COC-M. Peter Prevc from Slovenia won the second Continental Cup competition in Trondheim (NOR). With 131.5 m he was only seventh after the first round, the longest jump of the day on 141 m in the final round then earned him his third victory this summer with 274.7 points.

The second place went to Saturday's winnter Aleksander Zniszczol from Poland with jumps on 133 m and 134.5 m and a total of 268.7 points.

Atle Pedersen Roensen could not defend his lead after the first round and finished third as best Norwegian with 268.1 points (134.5 m and 133.5 m). 

Behind Robert Hrgota from Slovenia, three more jumpers of the hosting team, Anders Bardal, Tom Hilde and Anders Fannemel, came in on the places five to seven.

With Barlomiej Klusek as eighth, another young Polish jumper could achieve a Top 10 result, followed by Germany's Andreas Wank as ninth. Kim Rene Elverum Sorsell completed the strong performance of the Norwegian team in front of their home crowd as tenth.

COC-L: Another double victory for Austria

After they stood on top of the podium together on Saturday, Daniela Iraschko and Jacqueline Seifriedsberger were also the best in the second competition in Trondheim (NOR):

This time the victory went to Daniela Iraschko alone. The Austrian won with jumps on 104 m and 94,5 m and 266,5 points. Two points behind, her teammate Seifriedsberger, who jumped on 104 m and 95.5 m, finished second.

The third place went to young German Katharina Althaus from Oberstdorf with 95 m and 92 m and a total of 238.5 points.

Evelyn Insam from Italy came in fourth, followed by Germany's Melanie Faist, the two Japanese Sara Takanashi and Ayumi Watase and Jessica Jerome from the USA.

Overall leader Coline Mattel from France was only 24th after she fell in the first round, but with a very good jump in the final round she could move up to ninth overall.

This was the final Continental Cup competition for the ladies this summer. The next events of this series will take place mid November in Rovaniemi (FIN), the first ladies' World Cup competition will then be held in Lillehammer on December 3rd.

COC-M: Aleksander Zniszczol celebrates first victory

Aleksander Zniszczol could win the first competition of the Continental Cup in Trondheim. After he was third after the first round with the longest jump of the day on 136 m, he captured his first victory in the COC with 128.5 m in the final and a total of 257.3 points.

The only 17-year-old Pole from Wisla already showed consistent performances the whole summer and finished in the Top 10 six times. "I was afraid in my first jump because I almost had a bad fall. My second jump was very good. I really needed this victory", said Zniszczol.

With his performance today, Zniszczol prevent a total triumph of the hosts from Norway, they followed on the places two to four. Anders Fannemel, in Almaty recently on the podium in the GP for the first time, finished second with jumps on 133 m and 127.5 m and 256.6 points.

The third place went to his teammate Tom Hilde with 131.5 m and 128 m (255.8 points.). Anders Bardal followed as fourth with 251.3 points (130.5 m / 126.5 m).

Stefan Kraft was the best Austrian as fifth, followed by the two Slovenes Peter Prevc, who was in the lead after the first round, and Robert Hrgota.

Best of the German team was Andreas Wank as eighth, Klemens Muranka from Poland and Slovene Matic Kramarsic completed the Top 10.

COC-L: Two Austrians ahead

The first Ladies' Continental Cup competition in Trondheim (NOR) ended with a total success for Austria.

Daniela Iraschko (101 m and 96 m) and Jacqueline Seifriedsberger (97 m and 100 m) shared the first place with 257.0 points.

The third place went to Coline Mattel from France with jumps on 101 m and 98 m and a total of 250.0 points.

Slovene Maja Vtic, who was on the second place together with Seifriedsberger after the first round, missed the podium by only 1.5 points and came in fourth overall.

Behind the only 15-year-old Sara Takanashi from Japan and 16-year-old German Katharina Althaus, Line Jahr was the best Norwegian as Seventh.
