FREESTYLE. The waiting comes to an end. The legendary KTO celebrates from 12 to 14 October 2012 with established contests, fat bands, cool movies and great Testival the new winter season.

As is well known the greatest joy is in the anticipation. So imagine the days getting shorter and the summer fading away. After a rainy day the mountain tops are covered in snow and automatically freeskier’s and snowboarder’s hearts start beating faster when thinking of the upcoming winter season.
Rightly so... because work is already in progress on giving you a bombastic season opening at the Snowpark Kaunertal. A party program with the most exciting movie premieres, live bands and DJ’s, a testival with the newest stuff of the season up for free testing, a relaxed rail session, contests for pros and amateurs, open park action for all those, who don’t care for contests and more sideevents for your entertainment... so enjoy the anticipation and save the date:

For the past 27 years, we celebrate the start of the winter season with the Kaunertal Opening and so also this year a rich program with a lot of action on the mountain and awesome bands in the valley are waiting on you!
Program on the mountain:
Already on Friday, there is a rail session presented by downdays.eu directly at the glacier restaurant. At the Pro Contest on Saturday is a total prize money of USD 7.000, - to win. On Sunday, the participants in the amateur contests fight for fame and glory.
An open park we be accessible on all three days and also offers a number of different obstacles for every level.
In the Testival area many freeski and snowboard companies will come up with their latest products, which can be tested the whole weekend.
Program in the valley:
At the evening movie premieres and fat sounds are waiting for you! Friday there will be guitar sound by Golden Reef, electro-house by the Austrian AG Trio and mixed music by DJ Dan (Texta). Lipstick Productions and Junkies on a Budget will present their latest movies.
On Saturday Yambalaya will start the evening. It continues with Mono & Nikitaman and their reggae songs and ragga dancehall beats. Moreover Wax Wreckaz will play. Legs of Steel and the Pirate Movie Productions will present their new movies.
