TOURIST INDUSTRY. Children up to the age of eight can ski or snowboard for the whole 2012/2013 winter season at St. Anton am Arlberg for only 10 Euros. With the "Snowman Card" small winter sports fans can use the entire Arlberg skiing area with 280 kilometres of marked runs and 79 mountain cable cars and lifts.

The Snowman Card for ten euros (for children born from 2005 onwards) is a worthwhile bonus for young families of all types whether they are holiday-makers, long-term guests or regularly returning visitors – this season ticket is valid up to the end of the winter season 2012/2013. Director of Tourism, Martin Ebster, himself a father of two children, holds service for families close to his heart: "Even though our skiing area is considered demanding, St. Anton am Arlberg is a resort for the whole family with established ski runs, reserved especially for the little piste mice".

The weekly programmes in the ski schools are packed with many highlights including a tombola, a ski race and children's après ski, all watched over good humouredly by Hoppl the Hare and Kiki. Several child-friendly snow-paradises with fairy tale meadows and off-piste "grounds" are at the disposal of the ski munchkins. For mini skiers, who are already mini-experts on the boards, the fun can be found further up the slopes.

Festive end to the year: Concert by the Wiltener Boys Choir

A wonderful opportunity to contemplate on the past year’s events whilst getting ready for 2013, to the beautiful sound of festive voices – the Wiltener Boys Choir will be performing a concert in the great Arlbergsaal Hall on the 27th December. This 160 member choir is one of the oldest and most traditional boys’ choirs in the Alps. Their history dates back to the 13th Century and they share many historic links with the Vienna Boys Choir.
