SWIX SKI CLASSICS. Anders Aukland (Team Xtra Personnel) did a great battle in this season’s first Swix Ski Classics race and the 46th edition of the Czech long distance ski race Jizerska Padesatka. After a close race with Lukas Bauer (Team Coop) and 50 tough kilometers in a hilly track Anders Aukland showed his muscles three kilometers before the finish line and he double polled away from Lukas Bauer who finished second. Lukas Bauer and Anders Aukland followed each other from the first up hill and cooperated most of the race. Jørgen Aukland (Team Xtra Personnel) did a strong second half of the race and got third place double poling the entire race.

Anders Aukland takes the men’s yellow leader bib in the Swix Ski Classics first race and will carry the yellow jersey in the Italian race, Marcialonga in two weeks. However Lucas Bauer collected as many sprint points as Anders Aukland and will wear the green Swix Ski Classics Sprint jersey in the next race.
Valentina Scehvchenko (Team iXmind) won the women’s competition after a great performance. Aina Kaisa Saarinen (Team Xtra Personell) was leading most of the race but lost speed the last 13 km and was overtaken by both Valentina Schevchenko and Seraina Boner (Team Coop) that came second.
The Swix Ski Classics Team Competition is fronted of Team Xtra Personnel,second Team Coop, third is iXmind.
Next Swix Ski Classics race is Marcialonga, Italy on January 27.
