SKI CLASSICS. Swix Ski Classics is proud to announce that the Swix Ski Classics Prize Money will increase to Euro 200.000 in 2014. The long distance ski championship, Swix Ski Classics, consists of six ski races across Europe; Jizerská Padesatká Czech Republic, Marcialonga Italy, König Ludwig Lauf Germany, Vasaloppet Sweden, Birkebeinerrennet Norway, and Årefjällsloppet Sweden.

”I am very delighted that Swix Ski Classics continues to grow, the tour will increase its significance and its support to the most important part of Swix Ski Classics; the athletes! ”, says David Nilsson CEO of Swix Ski Classics.
The professional long distance skiers compete for three different leader bibs: The green sprint bib, the yellow overall leader bib and the pink best youth skier bib. In addition there is a team competition where each teams 2 best male skiers and single best female skier together with the teams total sprint points are calculated. Swix Ski Classics was 2013 season broadcasted in more than 59 countries around the world from Norway to Brazil, by 20 different TV channels.
