SNOWBOARD WORLD CUP BANSKO 2018. Excellent appraisement of the preparation of Bansko for the World Cup in 2018 gave the FIS team who visited the ski area. The International Ski Federation was represented by Alberto Schiavon (Italy), the Bordercros discipline technical advisor and Anders Forssel (Switzerland), the route designer in the same discipline. The team was led by Georgi Bobev, Vice President of Bulgarian Ski Federation and Victor Gichev, Director of the Snowboard World Cup in Bansko.
Competitions in 2018 will be from January 26 to 28. On 26th and 28th will be the parallel disciplines, and on 27th - speed boardercross. In this format, the World Cup competitions were held in Bansko this year, with FIS giving excellent appraisement of the organization. Attendance of all three starts was a record for snowboard competitions during the season.
