SKI MOUNTAINEERING. With already 5200 meters of cumulative positive elevation, and after the very long stage of yesterday, the runners have made a stage a bit shorter (2030 m D +) but quite technical because of the snow very heavy that had fallen during the night (40 to 60 cm).
For men, the French Didier Blanc and Valentin Favre won the stage in 2h10mins 53s, increasing the time gap (2mins28s ahead) with the Italians Filippo Barazzuol and William Boffelli. A fierce battle between the 2 leading teams. The third place is for the local team Léo Rochaix and Aurélien Dunand-Pallaz !
For women: the Franco-Swiss team Laetitia Roux / Séverine Pont Combe won the stage in 2h 44mins 54s, ahead of the Italian Martina Valmassoi and Elena Nicolini by almost half an hour cumulatively. Tomorrow, the indecision will concern the 3rd place, that should be played between Fabre / Jagercikova and Mayerhofer / Blikken Haukoy.
