SAILING. The sailing equivalent of the football World Cup – SSL Gold Cup 2022, brought Bulgarian top sailors together for a training session in Lake Neuchatel, Switzerland.
The provisional crew of nine members verified at last the submitted 2019 Bulgarian entry for the global sailing competition. The athletes were introduced to the Star Sailors League in the training center in Grandson, which is also the organizational and media hub for the SSL Gold Cup, working to promote the sport of sailing and the sailors from all around the world. Aboard a high-performance 44-foot-long monohull nine of our best sailors familiarized themselves with the boat`s settings and checked their teamwork abilities on the positions bowman, Pittman, floater, grinder, trimmer jib, trimmer kite, trimmer mainsail, helmsman, and tactician. The qualifying rules for the candidates for the SSL Team Bulgaria will be officially announced in December 2020.
