Ivica Kostelic of Croatia won the Alta Badia (ITA) slalom, which was added to the World Cup calendar to replace a cancelled event in Val d'Isère, on Monday. Frenchman Jean-Baptiste Grange finished 2nd just 0.20s behind and Austria's Benjamin Raich in third. It's Kostelic's ninth career World Cup win and seventh in a traditional slalom event, the first in five years. He won a super combined in 2006 and a special "knockout slalom" in Sestriere in 2002.
