LAKE LOUISE, Canada (AFP) - Austria's Renate Gotschl won the women's World Cup super-G here, ahead of compatriot Michaela Dorfmeister and Germany's Hilde Gerg.
Gotschl, who finished third in the women's downhill Saturday, clocked 1min 14.98sec in the super-G, with Dorfmeister timing 1:15.49 and Gerg, 1:15.66.
The winner said afterwards: "I performed well from start to finish and did not make a single mistake. It was a perfect race. I saw several girls have problems at one turn so I negotiated it a different way and it worked."
It is the first win this season for the 28-year-old Austrian, whose last victory in the super-G was in Innsbruck last February.
France's Carole Montillet, who had been hoping for a hat-trick at her favourite resort after winning both downhill races, finished down the field in eighth position in a time of 1:16.06.
Montillet said: "I took some risks on the top and middle section of the course because you have to take chances if you want to win but it didn't work out.
"I'm happy it's all over and I will be savouring my two downhill wins. I have had a super week here."
The wins puts Gotschl fourth in the overall World Cup standings, behind leader Anja Paerson of Sweden followed by Montillet and Germany's Martina Ertl.
