On March 18, 2009 the winners of the final race in the pilot project "Learn to ski" received their prizes, including a trip to the Swiss ski resort of St Moritz. Awards to be held near Aleko Hut in Vitosha in the presence of President of the Bulgarian Ski Federation Mr. Tzeko Minev, representative of Sport Agency for Youth and Sport - Mr. Radoslav Yankulov, Secretary General of Bulgarian Olympic Commitee Mr. Belcho Goranov and Head of the Regional Inspectorate on Education - Sofia Mrs. Vanya Kastreva.
Mr. Radoslav Yankulov determine the success of the initiative as "a result of the efforts of the whole team". "As stated at the long road begins with one small step. I disagree that this is final, toe is only phase of the initiative", said Mr. Yankulov.
Mrs. Vania Kastreva send gratitudes to BFSki. "We did not achieve one, and many objectives, including long-term. For some children this was not a single meeting with the mountain, and love for life. In addition, parents showed that there are many opportunities for their children. I hope this is just a great home", was the opinion of Mrs. Kastreva.
Secretary General Mr. BOK Belcho Goranov was also made of Vitosha and thanks to all participants in the initiative saying that this is the end of a great home and promised that the BOK in the future will support any such initiative.
On March 28 will be the official closing of the project "Learn to ski", and compete for the Vitosha Cup involving children 6 to 10 years. Ski lifts and equipment will be free for all children.
Mr. Tzeko Minev: World Cup in Bansko has become our calling card
President of the Bulgarian Ski Federation Mr. Tzeko Minev awards winners in the final competition of the pilot project "Learn to ski", which took place near Aleko Hut in Vitosha mountain. After the award ceremony Mr. Minev made brief review of the ski season nearing an end.
Mr. Minev gave a positive evaluation and completing a pilot project "Learn to ski." Balance that we can make is that the children came in 3500 in Nature, they turned to snow and met with white sports. ”If half of them remain in Skis and snowboard, so we did something great", commented Mr. Minev and International Ski Federation announced that it is the most successful project for this year and the first birdie in this great program as a pilot project and therefore reviews worldwide for Bulgaria and for what we do will be unique."
