The opening of the FIS GP 2011 will be a newly introduced series, that already was held many years ago as the "Beskids-Cup". The first competition will be held on July 17th at the Adam-Malysz-Hill in Wisla. One of the events in Zakopane will be a team competition. So the enthusiastic Polish fans will get their money's worth.

Paul Ganzenhuber, chairman of the FIS committee for calendar planning, announced this idea a couple of weeks ago in Wisla.

After a break of two weeks the GP shall continue on August 7th in Hinterzarten. The competitions in Courchevel (FRA) and Einsiedeln (SUI) will then be held on August 12th and 14th.

The status of the trip to Japan will be enhanced. On the way back from the two competitions in Hakuba the athlete's will stop in Almaty in Kazakhstan, where the new facility was opened with a Continental Cup a couple of days ago. Whoever doesn't want to take the trip to Japan will lose the points awarded in three competitions.

With the next stage the FIS GP will return to Austria again. The event will take place in Hinzenbach, where a new hill (HS 94) will be opened after four years of construction with the Austrian championships in October.
