Construction of a huge ski jumping complex in Sofia is the newest project of the Bulgarian Ski Federation. The idea promoted by the President of BFSki Mr. Tseko Minev and his deputy Mr. George Bobev is the capital to acquire unique facility using EU funds.

Such projects are part of the FIS, but specifics were presented today in a special meeting with the minister Svilen Neykov by Mr. Horst Tielmann, coordinator of the Continental Cup at the International Ski Federation (FIS). The guest is responsible in particular for the construction of Hills in the world and sees Sofia as one of the best places for this purpose.

The President of the Bulgarian Ski Federation Mr. Tseko Minev added that the minister Svilen Neykov remained very intrigued by the idea.

Almaty is considered the most beautiful city in Kazakhstan. The old capital has 1.3 million inhabitants and is the largest city in the country which is now even more beautiful thanks to its new ski center.

Two new Ski Jumping Hills HS 105 and HS 140 were officially opened this summer with two starts for the Continental Cup, namely that of a young Bulgarian star Vladimir Zografski achieved one of the greatest successes in his career - two silver medals at the FIS Continental Cup !

The first major event to be held here will be the Asian Winter Games in 2011.

From the hills of the ski resort you can enjoy magnificent views of the Almaty.
