FREESTYLE SKI WORLD CUP. On a "warm day" with temperatures around 0 degrees only, the first ever FIS Freestyle Moguls World Cup competition took place in China. 41 competitors from 8 different nations made the long way high up to the North to the Beidahu Ski Resort near Jilin.

All teams had 2 days of sufficient training, before the competition took place today. The snow condition was very good and the course was in an excellent shape. Sunshine and blue sky gave a good visibility on the course.

While there were already Chinese woman competing on the FIS Freestyle Moguls World Cup, it was the first time the men team from the Chinese Ski Association took part in their home country.

USA Hannah Kearney (USA) took the 1st place for the 2nd time in this season with Jennifer Heil and Kristi Richards (both from CAN) being 2nd and 3rd.

The mens competition was won by the 18 year last seasons Rookie of the Year Mikael Kingsbury from Canada with a tremendous run. It was his 6th Worldcup and the 2nd podium in his life after a 3rd place in Ruka this season.

Guilbaut Colas (FRA) and Pierre-Alexandre Rousseau placed 2nd and 3rd.

The yellow bib went again to US Hannah Kerney while the mens went to the French Guilbaut Colas for the 1st time in this season.

After the Christmas break, the FIS Freestyle World Cup will continue in North America with Mont Gabriel, Lake Placid and Calgary before the top event of the season, the World Championship 2011 will take place in Deer Valley beginning of February.
