ALPINE SKIING. Alpine skier Kilian Albrecht returns to the World Cup and will race for Bulgaria in the Kitzbuehel' slalom on January 23, 2011 (Sunday).

This will be the first race of the Austrian with Bulgarian passport from the Olympics in Vancouver in 2010. On February 27, 2010 Killian participated in the slalom in Whistler, despite an ankle injury received in training, and took 20th place. Then his FIS points were frozen as Regulations of the International Ski Federation to players who treat injuries. Thus, Killian is 37th in the rankings of slalom and this will allow him to be with a more leading start number in Kitzbuehel.
Currently Kilian Albrecht train at Kutai Glacier under the supervision of legendary specialist Dietmar Teoni, with which he works for years. In his last two appearances in the Alpine Ski World Cup slalom in the classic Austrian ski center Kitzbühel Killian took respectively the 17th and 20th place. His best ranking in the Kitz out of his 16 appearances was second in slalom in 2002.
"With every workout I feel better and better", said Kilian from Kutai. - "However, I lack endurance. From my performance in Kitzbühel depends whether I'll race in the night slalom in Schladming on January 25".
