TOURISM AND INDUSTRY (SKI.BG) -- Under the motto "Welcome to Austria" once again representatives of the Austrian tourism industry attended a workshop today, April 7, 2011 in Grand Hotel Sofia. The meeting is organized by the Austrian tour operator company Feratel media technologies AG and has the main purpose of creating contacts between Austrian and Bulgarian tourism business as well as to acquaint Bulgarian tour operators and medias with opportunities for winter and summer tourism and sports in the most beautiful parts of the Austrian Alps.

This time representatives of the Austrian travel companies and tourist boards: Mölltal Glacier, Großglockner Incoming, Kurhotel Palace Bad Hofgastein, Stubai Touristboard, SkiWelt Wilder Kaiser - Brixental, Pantours Incoming Vienna, Museum of Natural History Vienna, Castle Belvedere Vienna and Holiday Shuttle Incoming informed the Bulgarian visitors about the new products and posibilities for the upcoming summer season 2011 and next winter season 2011/2012.
Initiative was met with interest from the Bulgarian side, and within a few hours (from 10:00 h to 13:00 h) in the conference room Triaditsa of Grand Hotel Sofia held numerous meetings with various representatives of the Bulgarian tour operators. Remains unexplained absence of any interest from the media - newspapers and television stations, which should also show consideration to such activities and to attract public interest.
SKI.BG traditionally report these meetings because we believe that they are extremely important and useful for the development of Bulgarian tourism industry, especially because Austria is a perfect example to follow for our tourism industry.
The presentation of the ski area "Heiligenblut Grossglockner", for which readers of the SKI&BOARD magazine already know many things, attracted considerable interest but yet to learn more. Especially for the meeting in Sofia was arrived Mr. Peter Zauchner, General Manager of the Grossglockner Bergbahnen Touristik GmbH. By side of the ski areas Flattach and Moeltaler Glacier meeting attend Ms. Elizabeth Shurian (prokuristin) and as a representative of the Shtubai Glacier in Grand Hotel Sofia was sales director Ms. Elizabeth Finger.

Each of the Austrian representatives noted and all were impressed by the latest issue of SKI&BOARD magazine, containing among others materials bilingual article (on Bulgarian and English) for the 5 biggest Bulgarian winter resorts.
